MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2017 REPORT
From April 3 to 9 of 2017, Sanwa Company participated in FuoriSalone for
the first time. The exhibition was held at SolferinoLAB,
a space with impressive bare brick walls that used to be a wine cellar.

The combination of space and lighting was created through the collaboration of
Mr. Kicco Bestetti and Mr. Davide Groppi under the concept of “Japanese Modern Vintage”,
the minimal design characteristic to Sanwa Company. The products that reflect
the above features manufactured by cooperative factories of small and
medium sized companies in Japan were well received at the exhibition.
In addition, products using styling materials were exhibited by three brands: Kaikado,
Kohchosai Kosuga, and Nakagawa Mokkougei, which present Kyoto’s traditional craftwork
with modern design, and attracted attention mainly from overseas guests.

Some exhibition products were not only displayed but were also actually
sold to European guests. Furthermore, we achieved the first sales on EC website in Europe
at the "Archiproducts" that started selling on the EC website in April 2017.

Exhibition of the MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2017 had great success with about 7,000 visitors
during the exhibition and about 300 guests attended the reception party.
However, the challenge of Sanwa Company is not completed.
We will continually prepare launching of Davide Groppi lighting products in Japan
and to accelerate sales expansion in Asia based on the branding in Europe.

Sanwa Company will continue to move forward
and send out our brand from Milan to the world in 2018.
